FTC Clears Dell’s Potential $67B EMC Acquisition

acquisitionTYSONS CORNER, VA, February 25, 2016 — Dell has received approval from the Federal Trade Commission to proceed with its acquisition of EMC (NYSE: EMC) under an estimated $67 billion cash-and-stock deal, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.

EMC said Tuesday FTC gave the clearance after a 30-day waiting period and paved the way for the two companies to continue preparations for the transaction’s close by October.
