State Dept OKs Proposed $260M FMS Deal With Oman for F-16 Support

ContractTYSONS CORNER, VA, May 31, 2016 — Oman’s request for $260 million in communications equipment, logistics support, personnel training and spare and repair parts for F-16 aircraft has received clearance from the State Department, GovCon Wire reported Friday.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Thursday the proposed foreign military sale to Oman also includes precision measurement equipment laboratory services, electronic combat international security assistance and contractor engineer technical services.

DSCA identified the following prime contractors for the deal:

  • BAE Systems
  • Goodrich Corp.
  • Harris (NYSE: HRS)
  • Honeywell (NYSE: HON)
  • Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT)
  • Marvin Engineering
  • Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC)
