TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 4, 2018 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) entered into an agreement in August to buy Millennium Space Systems by the end of the third quarter as part of an effort to expand its space and satellite platforms portfolio, GovCon Wire reported Aug. 17.
The small satellite company is also anticipated to bring additional talent and capabilities to Boeing, which will integrate Millennium as a subsidiary under the leadership of Phantom Works General Manager Mark Cherry upon the acquisition’s potential close, Boeing said Aug. 16.
“We look forward to incorporating Millennium Space Systems’ end-to-end mission solution capabilities into our service offerings in satellite operations and data solutions,” said Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s defense, space and security business and a two-time Wash100 awardee.
