TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 14, 2015 — The U.S. Justice Department has picked Dell Federal to set up the FBI’s virtual desktop infrastructure under a $28 million contract, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.

Dell said Monday it will deploy Dell XC Series converged appliances to target an easy-to manage, scalable VDI in support of up to 55,000 users.

“Dell is committed to providing its government customers with the tools they need to solve complex problems with efficient and effective IT solutions,” said Steve Harris, vice president and general manager at Dell Federal.

“We’re very excited to have the opportunity to help a key government customer better accomplish their mission, and we are always looking for any way we can work with customers like this to best leverage their IT.”
