General Dynamics Unit to Support Virginia-Class Sub Design Updates Under $432M Deal

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 7, 2017 — A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary will support the U.S. Navy in development research and design activities for Virginia-class submarines under a potential $432 million contract modification, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.

The Defense Department said Tuesday General Dynamics Electric Boat will provide engineering and lead yard services to maintain and update the Virginia-class design during the fleet’s construction and post-shakedown availability.
