Hitachi Vantara Moves to Expand Cloud Services Portfolio With New Acquisition; David Turner Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 7, 2018 — Hitachi Vantara has entered into an agreement to acquire REAN Cloud as the former aims to expand its cloud and managed services capabilities in a push to support customer digital transformation, GovCon Wire reported July 25.

The proposed purchase will also work to drive Hitachi Vantara’s efforts to advance secure enterprise cloud adoption on multicloud environments amid the emergence of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications and workloads, the company said July 24.

“The addition of REAN Cloud’s industry-leading cloud solutions to our robust portfolio will enhance our ability to provide end-to-end data solutions to the U.S. federal government,” David Turner, president and CEO of Hitachi Vantara’s federal business, said in a statement.
