Hello, Guest!

Executive MosaicGovCon Wire publishes a number of stories each week that includes executive appointments, M&A activity and earnings reports at GovCon firms.
This week, the biggest news the website covered was the announcement that Linda Hudson will retire as president and CEO of BAE Systems Inc., the British contractor’s U.S. subsidiary.
By the end of the first quarter of the company’s 2014 fiscal year, Hudson will step down from her roles as executive director of the BAE Systems plc board and as a member of the company’s executive committee.
“Linda has left her mark on the company, its workforce and the entire industry, and I’m pleased she will continue to contribute to the success of the company through her extended service on the BAE Systems Inc. board,” said Michael Chertoff, chairman of the board for BAE Systems Inc.
Hudson, will remain as outside director at BAE Systems through 2015.
Hudson joined BAE Systems Inc. in 2007 as president of the land and armaments operating group after serving as an officer and vice president at General Dynamics.
She also led organizations at Martin Marietta through the merger with Lockheed to create Lockheed Martin.
“Hudson worked to prepare the subsidiary for defense budget cuts after a period of wartime growth during her four years as chief executive,” Chertoff said.
