Raytheon Receives $434M Contract Modification for Sidewinder Block II Missile Deliveries

TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 3, 2018 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will supply Lot 18 AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II missiles to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force as well as seven foreign military sales customers under a potential $434.4M contract modification, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.

The Department of Defense said Friday Raytheon Missile Systems will deliver 766 AIM-9X Block II and 160 Block II+ all-up-round tactical missiles, 170 Block II Captive Air Training Missiles, 12 Special Air Training Missiles, 309 all-up-round containers, 50 guidance unit containers and various spare equipment.

FMS customers included in the procurement are Australia, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, Qatar, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
