South Korea’s Potential $140M Buy of Raytheon-Built Missiles Gets State Dept Clearance

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 3, 2017 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will produce 89 AGM-65G-2 Maverick and 60 AIM-9X-2 Sidewinder missiles for South Korea under two foreign military sale agreements worth $140 million combined, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Wednesday the State Department cleared the Maverick missile purchase request worth $70 million as well as the potential $70 million order for Sidewinder missiles and associated components and services.
