SPA Appoints Retired Navy Officer David Duryea as Naval Initiatives Director; William Vantine Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 6, 2018 — Systems Planning and Analysis has hired David Duryea, a retired U.S. Navy rear admiral and an adviser at Globe Composite Solutions, to serve as its director of naval initiatives, GovCon Wire reported Aug. 21.

SPA said Aug. 20 Duryea will be in charge of undersea warfare and special operations programs at the company as he brings years of experience from his previous work as commander of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center – Division Newport and head of the Special Operations Undersea Mobility Systems Program Office, Submarine Imaging and Electronic Warfare Program Office and Advanced Submarine Systems Office, among other positions he held during his military service.
