Hello, Guest!

wash100-SEALSoon after the start of the 2014 year, Executive Mosaic’s leadership elected 100 executives and officials from across the GovCon landscape as the 2013 class of the Wash100, the premier group of leaders on both sides of the intersection of the private and public sectors.

Near the top of the inductees stood Dave Dacquino, who joined SkyLink Aviation in July 2013 after 20 years with Lockheed Martin, serving as lead executive at Raytheon’s technical services group and a stint as chief executive at VT Group.

“This position appealed to me because of its mission, its complexity and the company’s 26-year legacy serving customers across many industries,” Dacquino told GovCon Wire.
“I thought, what a great partner we would be for those larger companies. After having lived in those companies for that long, I understand what their worries are – both in safety and putting employees in harm’s way – and what they do and what they need.”

David Dacquino - VT Group , ExecutiveMosaicDacquino has shaped headlines with his activity at the firm since then. He has positioned the company to launch an aviation compliance and auditing business based out of the UAE, has deepened its partnerships in Libya – a country “not everyone can play in,” he noted to ExecutiveBiz, and formed a joint venture with the first Afghan airline compliant with that country’s aviation authority, just to name a few.

And as with Dacquino, so much of his attention at SkyLink is on the gains of the future.
“The Afgan first program is an effort to not lose the gains from America’s longest war by building infrastructure in the country that will facilitate business,” he told GovCon Wire. “Transportation infrastructure is the most critical initially so business can actually take root.”

The Wash100 is a group of private and public sectors officially elected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership for demonstrating a consistent commitment to organizational excellence, and driving above-average value to the American public through strategic vision, innovation and achievement.

Executive Mosaic inducts new leaders each year, but the recognition is earned over a career of work.
