EM Logo5In two big Federal government announcements, two prominent officials have announced that they will step down from their roles.
Rafael Borras, undersecretary for management at the Department of Homeland Security, will leave his role Feb. 7 and has plans to return to the private sector.
He has been in his current role for three years and has served as designated chief management officer and chief acquisition officer, where he held oversight of an estimated $60 billion budget.
He administered $19 billion in procurement work during his time at the agency.

In other news, Robert Hale, DoD comptroller, will retire from his role.
Hale is the longest-serving Pentagon comptroller since the 1950s after having held the position for five years.
President Obama has nominated Michael McCord to succeed Hale.
McCord is currently deputy comptroller and previously served on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
