Executive Mosaic, Tysons Corner, VA January 5, 2015 – ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday on Harris IT Services President Wayne Lucernoni’s remarks last week about the company’s moves to develop products for new sectors such as healthcare and intelligence.
The executive indicated in a Washington Business Journal interview published Dec. 29 last week that the push is part of a plan to build the business unit’s niche in the industry.
Lucernoni also talked about Harris’ efforts to streamline bidding for future projects and consolidate operations to buck the tight federal budget.
“As companies got desperate and budget pressure got real, people tried to do the right thing but took a lot more risk on performance in the process… but we’re among the companies that chose not to play, chose to stay where we’re strong,” he said.
