Jonathan Moak serves as senior vice president for U.S. public sector sales at Exiger, where he helps government and defense customers strengthen the security of their supply chains.

Who Is Jonathan Moak?

Moak has more than two decades of military and private-sector leadership. He joined Exiger in July 2025, leading go-to-market and revenue teams to drive growth and expand the company’s public sector footprint.

He oversees the delivery of 1Exiger, an AI-driven risk management and end-to-end supply chain visibility platform utilized by customers across a wide range of industries, including the federal government.

Exiger, he noted, is the “largest provider of supply chain technology to the U.S. Federal Government.” Its platform is deployed by more than 80 government and defense industrial base organizations.

Defense Experience

Moak, a decorated combat veteran, has over two decades of service as an infantry officer in the Army National Guard.

In 2019, he rose to the highest levels of civilian defense leadership, serving as the acting assistant secretary of the Army for financial management and comptroller. While performing the duties of the service’s finance chief, he managed a $180 billion financial management enterprise and directed budget execution and oversight.

“As an infantry officer I learned that logistics wins or loses campaigns—soldiers cannot fight without the right supplies at the right place and time,” he told Executive Mosaic in an email interview. “Later, as Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management & Comptroller, I saw the same challenge at enterprise scale: how to resource and modernize a $180 billion enterprise while maintaining readiness and accountability. Those experiences instilled a deep appreciation for the intersection of mission, data and decisive action.”

He continues his commitment to the military community as a board member for the American Veterans Center. Moak is a recipient of the Ranger Tab, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Expert Infantryman Badge.

Private Sector Leadership

After serving in senior government roles, Moak joined the private sector to drive modernization and scale adoption of advanced technologies across the federal government.

From 2021 through 2023, he served as vice president for the public sector at Salesforce, where he spearheaded strategy and business development efforts focused on serving the Pentagon and other agencies.

He then joined UiPath in 2024 as vice president of federal sales, overseeing the company’s defense business. In the role, he led company efforts to support and promote AI and automation within the Pentagon to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen mission readiness.

What Is Jonathan Moak’s Perspective on the Modern Supply Chain Landscape?

According to Moak, integrating AI into supply chain risk management is no longer optional. The technology, he said, is shifting “supply chain management from reactive and retrospective to autonomous and action-oriented.”

“At Exiger, we use AI to illuminate multi-tier supplier networks in near real time and surface hidden risks—whether cyber, financial, geopolitical or concentration risk. But visibility is now only the baseline. The real transformation is an agentic workforce that acts on that intelligence—sensing change, mapping dependencies to the part level, and executing decisions at machine speed alongside human judgment before disruptions degrade readiness.”

When asked about the biggest risks facing supply chains in the coming years, Moak identified factors that will test resilience

“I see three converging threats: geopolitical fragmentation and the weaponization of supply chains, increasingly sophisticated cyber and data-integrity attacks on supplier networks, and growing concentration risk in critical minerals, advanced semiconductors, and other dual-use technologies,” he said. “Climate and infrastructure disruptions will compound these pressures.”

Moak added that navigating this environment would require organizations to shift their mindset around resilience.

“The organizations that thrive will treat supply chain resilience as a continuous intelligence and execution problem—sensing risk early and acting first—rather than a periodic compliance exercise,” he noted.

What Is the 4×24 Leadership Program?

My goal is to help the group produce clear recommendations and shared frameworks that members can take back to their organizations and implement—whether improving multi-tier visibility, strengthening decision intelligence, or enabling faster execution when risk emerges,” Moak said.
