EM Logo5Michael McCord has been confirmed as the next Pentagon comptroller where he succeeds Robert Hale.
McCord is a 21 year Senate Armed Services Committee veteran and he began his career at CBO.
McCord most recently served as principal deputy undersecretary of defense, a position he held since 2009.
Robert Hale served in the comptroller role for five years and and previously served as comptroller of the Air Force.

The U.S. Marine Corps has named Capt. David Lane medical officer for the U.S. Marine Corps and health services director at the service headquarters in Arlington, Va.
Lane was a Naval Flight Officer before starting his career in medicine.
He has served as a surgeon with Marine forces in Japan and as a medical detachment commander for disaster relief missions across Asia.
