EM Logo5ExecutiveGov published two recent stories that continued the website’s focus on the U.S. Air Force.
The first article detailed new research that Air Force personnel are conducting on how Google Glass could be used on the front lines.
“With Google Glass, we assess human performance, trying to improve the warfighter’s enhanced situational awareness,” said Gregory Burnett, Air Force Research Laboratory chief engineer for the BATMAN program.
The technology is reportedly being tested with pararescue jumpers.

Another ExecutiveGov article was about the low morale of drone pilots and a Government Accountability Report that suggested ways to improve the current state of affairs.
As a result of the report, Air Force officials have decided to  change how the military service recruits and retains pilots.
“Without developing an approach to recruiting and retaining [remotely piloted aircraft] pilots and evaluating the viability of using alternative personnel populations for the RPA pilot career, the Air Force may continue to face challenges, further exacerbating existing shortfalls of RPA pilots,” the GAO report said.
