The X-37B will be housed in two hangars at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
“Kennedy is positioning itself for the future, transitioning to a multi-user launch facility for both commercial and government customers, while embarking on NASA’s new deep space exploration plans,” said Kennedy Center Director Robert Cabana.
The X-37B team intends to use the buildings to prepare the spacecraft for launch and has conducted landing tests at the former Shuttle Landing Facility.

In other news, the U.S. Navy will base its fleet of F-35C fighters at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, California.
Lemoore will host up to 100 of the jets by 2028 to be organized into seven Pacific Fleet squadrons with 10 F-35C jets each and 30 fighters in a fleet replacement squadron.
That fleet replacement squadron is scheduled to be operational in 2018, the Navy said.
