TYSONS CORNER, VA July 1, 2015 — The Department of Veterans Affairs has chosen Lockheed Martin company Systems Made Simple to update and aid in the expansion of the agency’s Caregiver Application Tracker platform, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
Systems Made Simple said VA is preparing its CAT resource system to cope with an expected rise in users amid an exponential increase in demand for the department’s in-home Caregiver Support Program.
The company received a second contract to replace VA’s time and attendance keeping system in support of a payroll platform relied on by thousands of employees.
“The [Veterans Affairs Time and Attendance System] program is a critical infrastructure for the VA’s payroll operations,” said Horace Blackman, vice president for health and life sciences at Lockheed Martin.
“We are dedicated to the successful migration of VATAS to the Department of Veterans Affairs.”
