ManTech International (NASDAQ: MANT) has acquired former Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) subsidiary Welkin Associates under a $34 million cash transaction.
Welkin was founded in 1988 and  delivers mission-centric services in high-end systems engineering to the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense (DoD).
The acquisition positions ManTech to pursue large engineering and support opportunities and will become part of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions Group.
“This acquisition is consistent with ManTech’s strategy to expand and strengthen our presence in high-end intelligence markets,” said ManTech CEO George Pedersen.
