TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 10, 2016 — A Nippon Telegraph & Telephone (NYSE: NTT) subsidiary has completed its purchase of Dell‘s services business under a $3.05 billion transaction to support the expansion of the former’s consulting and information technology services portfolio, GovCon Wire reported Nov. 3.
The newly acquired business will be rebranded as NTT Data Services with NTT Data CEO John McCain temporarily at its helm, NTT Data said Nov. 2.
Dell’s business process outsourcing, cloud computing and technology infrastructure support the application innovation and advisory services of NTT Data, according to Tim Conway, president of NTT Data’s public sector business.
“It gives us the range to help our government clients in the race to digital conversion, navigating the cloud and addressing risk and compliance along the way,” Conway said in an interview with ExecutiveBiz that also featured George Newstrom, head of Dell Services‘ federal government business.
