Who Is Terri Malone?

Terri Malone is senior vice president and chief growth officer of the U.S. arm of Serco, the U.K.-based provider of engineering, management and technology services. She has overseen the company’s corporate strategy in business development operations, capture and proposals management and mergers and acquisitions efforts since May 2022. Malone reports to Serco CEO and Wash100 Award winner Michael LaRouche.

“One of the things that immediately attracted me to Serco was that our capabilities line up with the most urgent challenges that the federal government is facing, both in the defense sector and the citizen services side of our business. The leadership was very focused on where they want to take the business,” she told ExecutiveBiz in an Executive Spotlight interview.

“But equally important, it’s a company that puts people at the very center of how we deliver solutions. So, I really appreciate the ‘people-first’ approach of combining the right people with innovation and technology,” she added.

What Is Terri Malone’s Professional History?

Armed with more than 20 years of in-depth business development experience, Malone joined Serco from Northrop Grumman, a 21-year veteran of the corporation. Her most recent leadership positions at Northrop included mission readiness and protective systems business unit VP, airborne C4ISR systems division business development VP, situational awareness and mission readiness business unit VP and communications division business development and strategy VP. 

Throughout her prolific career in the GovCon industry, Malone has been responsible for the overall performance across portfolios valued at more than $500 billion. 

Malone began her professional career as a senior consultant at Accenture in 1985. holds a master’s in business administration from George Mason University.

What Is Terri Malone’s Role as 4×24 BD Group Chair?

As chair of the BD Group, Malone is responsible for getting the conversation going on how business development can drive important outcomes for federal customers. In 2024, when she was named BD Group chair, she said, “I love being a part of Executive Mosaic and am so honored and lucky to chair the BD Group this year.”
