Unisys Corp. has collaborated with All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd to migrate the latter’s passenger sales and service applications to Unisys’ airline core systems platform designed to help address the customers’ growing demands.

ANA worked with Nihon Unisys Ltd in February to move its booking, ticketing and boarding systems to Unisys AirCore, which replaces the company’s 34-year-old domestic passenger system, Unysis said.

Takanori Yukishige, ANA’s senior vice president for innovation and information technology strategy, said AirCore’s open system helps the airline provide booking and boarding services to customers.

The open standards system is based on the Java programming language and aims to enable customers choose distribution channels to execute their strategies.

Olivier Houri, Unisys’ president for global transportation, said AirCore also helps airlines integrate applications with other systems.
